Wild woman
This is what is known in our house as 'wild woman hair'! We are having one of those days and loving every minute of it! Everyone needs a wild haired day once in awhile.

The Luxury of a Hot Shower
About a year ago we mysteriously lost most of the hot water to our shower. It would stay piping hot the first five minutes, and the rest of the time you were left with unsatisfying lukewarm water.
I could not stand the cooler temperature for long and would rush to get done before the hot water ran out. But then I was miserable because I love hot showers and was missing them!
One day, though, I discovered that if I ran the washing machine while the shower ran somehow the shower miraculously stayed hot. Over the next several months I coordinated when I would wash clothes with when I wanted a shower {there may have been a few times I ran an empty washer just for the hot water}.
Finally, we found the problem. Adam's dad had come by to help him figure out some details with our remodeling, when Adam just happened to grab the water lines in our gutted master suite. He was very surprised to find them almost hot to the touch, especially considering they are never used. I don't know the particulars, but something about the water cycling through the unused water lines continuously, had caused us for the whole past year to lose our hot water to the rest of the house.
Adam installed a couple of valves that turned off the water where it is not yet needed, and we once again have hot water in our shower - for like an hour if we want it! Just another perk of remodeling an old farmhouse.
