Chocolate, please?

Why yes, thank you!

My latest necklace crafts

My seeds

I started several packets of seeds this year. I have started a few seeds before, but never on the scale of what I am attempting this year. And it's not easy. Or maybe my thumb is not as green as I thought.

An oldie but a goodie

The summer after I graduated from college, I took a two week trip to study abroad in Italy. Such a beautiful and amazing experience! We stayed in a convent where we were spoiled with the best food and a gorgeous view of Rome. The teachers that went said it was the best weather they’d ever experienced. I think my favorite part was Venice, and it would be a dream come true to visit again.

When I graduated from Purdue, I completed a major in fine art painting, but I had enough credits to have a double major in ceramics as well. I ended up winning a scholarship to attend this trip, and was very grateful for the opportunity. These three friends were from my ceramics class, and I miss seeing them like I used to.

The last snow?

I took these pictures a couple weeks ago, realizing this may be the last snow of winter. Some may think I am crazy, but I will miss seeing the beautiful white fluff. I heard once that if you live in a cold weather climate you might as well embrace the chilly weather once it sets in. Notice the wording, not just accept, but embrace.  Life is certainly more beautiful when we are in love with something rather than just tolerating it.

I am never truly satisfied with winter unless we get a crazy big accumulation at least ONCE during the cold weather months. This year in southern Indiana we got several smaller snowfalls, but never the kind that merited being snowed in a couple days. Oh well. This will have to do!
